This beautiful, hand-beaded necklacce is made by the Rautihu cooperative, a group of women from the Yawanawa in Acre, Brazil. The Yawanawa live in 9 villages located in the region of Acre, in the Yawanawa Indigenous Territory of the Gregorio River, in the Brazilian Amazon. They are known as the "people of the peccaries" and have a strong connection with forest medicine and power plants.
